Healing Doesn't Need An Audience
Healing can be quiet
If you’ve spent time exploring somatic or nervous system work online, it’s easy to feel like you’re watching a performance. Someone cries, screams into a pillow, or starts shaking, and it immediately gets labeled as a dramatic "trauma release" or transformational shift.
Somewhere along the line, somatic work built an unwritten scorecard:

- If it’s dramatic, visible, and intense, it must be a huge, visceral transformation.
- If it’s subtle, quiet, or simple, you must be failing to access your nervous system.

If you simply paused, noticed some tightness in your chest, felt the floor under your feet, and got back to your day -Â Did it even count? Are you even healing?
Here is the truth: An observable event in the body is not automatically proof of deep, lasting therapeutic change.

Expression vs. Real Therapeutic Change
In this work, it’s critical to separate three very different things:
1. Physical Expression: Shaking, trembling, curling inward, yawning, or spontaneous movement.
2. Emotional & Physiological Shifts: Crying, vocalising, shifts in heart rate, muscle tone, or sensations like your skin tingling.
3. Actual Therapeutic Change: Real-world shifts that carry into your daily life such as how you recover from stress, navigate relationships, reduce reactivity, and make conscious choices even when overwhelmed.
These categories can overlap, but they are not interchangeable. Big physical reactions do not guarantee long-term life changes, and quiet sessions do not mean nothing shifted.
Nervous System CentRed Healing
Our work prioritises the wisdom of your body over the stories of the mind. By focusing on somatic tracking and nervous system regulation, we'll address the root of where distress is held, allowing for a transformation that is both biological and profound.
Pathways to Somatic Integration
Utilising functional breathwork and trauma-informed somatic inquiry, we'll explore the interior landscape of your being. This isn't about rushing to "fix" anything. It's about developing the internal resources to hold your experience with presence and more ease.
Supporting Neurodivergence & Trust
For many of us neurodivergent individuals and those who already struggle to trust their own systems, the pressure to have a "big experience" can create intense anxiety. It turns somatic practice into another task to optimise and another standard you might feel you're failing to meet.
The Olive Branch Healing replaces rigid certainty and performative expectations with curiosity and nuance.
We don't chase temporary fireworks. We focus on long-term, sustainable healing and maintenance, in whatever form it takes, to support your system.
We don't force a release. We look at what actually changes in your day-to-day life like how you feel getting groceries, how you respond to that stressful email, or how you show up for yourself and the people around you.
It took me over a decade of my own journey to learn this: you are not doing your healing wrong just because it looks quiet, steady, or different.

OFFERING SUPPORT
What Working Together Looks Like
My practice is built as a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-friendly, zero-pressure space where you and your body never have to prove anything, put on a show, or worry about getting it "wrong". I'll meet you where you are, no matter where that is, with no judgement.
We'll use somatic practices not as a quick fix, but as resources before we begin to address and move past trauma and old patterning. They'll also be used as part of a sustainable, practical maintenance plan. Somatic counselling can help you cultivate a grounded, trustworthy relationship with yourself and your nervous system that supports you for the long-haul.
The sessions I offer are collaborative and steady. I integrate compassionate somatic inquiry, nervous system regulation techniques, functional breathwork, and trauma processing at a pace that respects your capacity. It is a process of unfolding, where we slowly explore ourselves and build the resources needed to experience life fully with growing ease.
