The root & branch journey
Processing in your own time
Here, processing past trauma is entirely optional, always slow, and only done if/when you are ready. On the Root and Branch journey, we never rush. Our intention is deep repair & integration. We focus on building safety first through resourcing and grounding, ensuring you are prepared and in control every step of the way. There are many paths to deep healing. This is just one of them.

Methods & Safety Approach
In our work together, we'll use an integrative blend of body-led methods. These are only ever used when you are ready and want them to be. Trauma processing is never forced.
Bilateral Stimulation
Using knee tapping or eye movements to help the brain access and process difficult memories without becoming overwhelmed. This supports the integration of experiences that got stuck along the way.
Somatic-Only Processing
Tracking internal, physical sensations and intuitive movements, like a slow-motion punch or leg push, to complete survival cycles that were frozen in the body during the original event(s).
Parts & Object Work
Utilising external objects, empty chair work, and inner self dialogue to create healthy distance and understanding between you and "the issue"/trauma. For some, this can make it more accessible and less intense to work with.
Building Safety First
We start with resourcing by finding internal and external anchors of safety. Every session begins and ends with grounding exercises to ensure you both arrive and leave feeling settled and contained.
Managing Intensity
We heal by exploring small pieces of your story at a time, then coming back to a place of steadiness. This back‑and‑forth rhythm helps your body stay within what feels manageable and safe as you process.
Informed Choice
Ongoing education and consent mean you always know what we are doing and why. You have full permission to stop, change direction, or choose not to process further at any time.
Deep Repair & Integration

On the Root and Branch Journey, growth is not a linear demand. It is a slow, natural unfolding.
Â
We hold space for the full spectrum of your experience. For some, post-trauma growth means quiet resilience and creating a life where the past no longer dictates the present. They can go down the somatic counselling path without ever needing to look back at the past. For others, in addition to focusing on the present, they desire a slow, intentional, profound exploration, discovery, and processing of what has been carried to really understand themselves and their experiences.

Whether you choose to process or not, together we will still work on:
-
Noticing and managing challenges as they show up in daily life
-
Building tools to come back to safety when you feel overwhelmed
-
Strengthening the parts of you that are already resilient and wise
-
Making space for joy, connection, and rest alongside what you’ve been through

Both paths are entirely valid. Only you know what kind of journey you need.
Â
Whether you choose to process or not, your journey toward wholeness is honoured here.
